In Somebody’s Child, we interact with the story of a child losing his hope and of a woman rediscovering her faith. It’s a story about difficult choices, redemption, forgiveness, and second chances. It is a story most of us can relate to, as it explores the true nature of both egotistic and generous decisions and the way they affect our lives.

It’s probably no surprise that the number one flick on this list of the best Christian movies on Netflix is one of the most controversial. Directed by Mel Gibson and written by Mel Gibson and Benedict Fitzgerald, the Passion of the Christ stars Jim Caviezel, Maia Morgenstern, and Monica Bellucci in two hours and seven minutes of electrifying drama.

The movie depicts the final twelve hours in the life of the son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, during the process of his crucifixion. The flick is best known for its graphic depictions of violence that even made moviegoers pass out in their seats. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but it’s a very accurate depiction of Jesus Christ’s last hours.
