The 2011 television series Teen Wolf stars a socially awkward high school boy, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), who is bitten by a werewolf and must navigate the new powers and drawbacks that come with his own transformation, while trying to balance school work, romance, and the supernatural. For those hoping to catch up on the story before the second half of season 6, Teen Wolf can be somewhat difficult to find. In this article, we will answer the question “Is Teen Wolf on Netflix?”
Release Date on Netflix: N/A
Director: Jeff Davis
Runtime: 41 minutes
IMDB Rating: 7.7
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 85%
Originally a remake of the 1985 Michael J. Fox comedy, Teen Wolf is a coming-of-age drama that stars Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, the eponymous teenage werewolf, The Maze Runner‘s Dylan O’Brien as his best friend, Mieczyslaw “Stiles” Stilinski, and Holland Roden as the town’s resident mean girl (and banshee), Lydia Martin.
The series has long since evolved past its simple premise, and Scott and his friends have squared off against evil packs of werewolves, supernatural hunters, thousand-year-old demons, and, most recently, the mythical Wild Hunt. Other notable characters include werewolf hunter and Scott’s first love, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed) and mentor, Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin).
In the second half of the last season, Scott, Stiles, and Lydia will be joined by several familiar faces, including Arrow‘s Colton Haynes as jerk jock Jackson Whittemore, Tyler Hoechlin returning as Derek Hale, and Charlie Carver as Ethan. While some fans were concerned that Dylan O’Brien may not be making an appearance in season 6B, due to his increasingly busy film schedule, the most recent trailer assures that Stiles and Scott will be back together for one final adventure.
Earlier in the season, Lydia, Scott, and other pack members had to rescue Stiles and the rest of the town of Beacon Hills from the Wild Hunt, but, in doing so, the trailer hints that they may have left an opening between two realities that will prove harder to close than they expect.
Also making an appearance is what sources describe as a hellhound, a mythical creature over a hundred years old and recently released from the town’s insane asylum. Familiar faces abound, and the main crew will struggle to tie up this final mystery before leaving high school–and Beacon Hills–behind forever. Is Teen Wolf on Netflix?
It seems that the last half season holds a lot of exciting new stories, but those who may not be as familiar with the previous seasons may be a little bit lost or confused, and looking for a way to catch up. To make a long story short, is Teen Wolf on Netflix? No, it’s not. It used to be, but Netflix has removed it since.
MTV streams each episode as it premieres, and many other viewing sites, like Hulu, Veoh, or Amazon, will have older episodes, but Netflix has not yet elected to stream the entire series on its own page.
If you’re looking to help convince Netflix to change its policy on Teen Wolf, there are several petitions floating around online to boost public awareness of this issue and hopefully get it changed.
