A remake of the 1989 classic, Steel Magnolias is a 2012 romantic Lifetime drama about six Louisiana women. Incredibly moving, funny, witty, and strangely humanistic, this movie is one of the best Lifetime movies on Netflix. It does a great job at portraying the lives, the tragedies, and triumphs they go through.

The new Steel Magnolias stars Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, Condola and Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott, and many other good actors. If you feel like watching a re-imagining of the old movie, this one might just do the trick.

The Blue Lagoon tells the story of two children who find themselves stranded on a tropical island in the Pacific. Alone but together, the two have to discover how to stay alive, as well as their own sexual maturity. In addition, they also need to come up with ways to solve their conflicts which, at times, can be quite immature. You might have forgotten that this 1980 classic was produced by Lifetime, but it sure was!

The movie was directed by Randal Kleiser and stars Brooke Shields, Cristopher Atkins, and the late Leo McKern. A Victorian tale of restricted proportions, the movie was inspired by a novel written by Henry De Vere Stacpoole. It’s one of the most popular Lifetime movies on Netflix at the moment.

True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet tells the story of a teenage girl, Morgan Carter, who made it big into Hollywood. But like many other Hollywood stars whose career got the best out of them, Morgan Carter ends up collapsed on the sidewalk after partying too much. Hence, her mother decides to send her to live with her Aunt in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She changes her name and appearance and blends in quite well after a while. But things go south for Morgan after a sleepover party, and soon after that her whole cover is ruined.

Directed by Tim Matheson, this Lifetime movie stars Joanna ‘JoJo’ Levesque and was inspired by the Lola Douglas’ novel of the same name.

Kate finds herself drawn to the mystery of his death and becomes entangled in a romance with this striking Christmas spirit. Although only rated with 6.4 out of 10 by IMDb users, this is one of the best Lifetime movies on Netflix.
